Detail Itinerary

1. Gwangjang Market

09:30~11:30

Gwangjang Market is Seoul’s representative traditional market. Here, try simple Korean snacks like kimbap and hotteok.

30 minute by Taxi

2. Majang Livestock Market

12:00~14:00

Korean Hanwoo beef is often underrated compared to Japanese Wagyu beef, but its flavor surpasses that of Wagyu. In Korea, Hanwoo beef is considered a delicacy reserved for distinguished guests. Majang-dong has a livestock market selling slaughtered beef at affordable prices. The market also boasts numerous Hanwoo beef restaurants. I recommend rib eye(꽃등심),sirloin(등심), Chuck Flap Tail(채끝살).

30 minute by Taxi

3. Sooyeon Sanbang

14:30~16:00

Suyeonsanbang is a cozy, Hanok-style cafe where you can savor traditional tea. Expect a wait.

30 minute by Taxi

4.Cafe Dawon in Samcheonggak(Optional)

14:30~16:00

Samcheonggak, located midway up Bukaksan Mountain, is well-known for its traditional Korean dance performances and Korean cuisine, but surprisingly, many people don’t know about Cafe Dawon. Enjoy a relaxing break at this scenic cafe. Not far from Sangcheonggak, Palgakjeong Pavilion offers a great view of Bukaksan Mountain. However, it’s not easily accessible by public transportation. Cafe Dawon is recommended as an alternative to Suyeonsambang.

1 hour by Taxi

5. Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market

17:00~

Seoul’s largest wholesale seafood market. You can purchase seafood directly from the market, and some restaurants prepare and serve it. I’m not sure why the prices are so low, but the food is fresh. I recommend trying the sushi and live octopus. My personal recommendation is to buy seafood from Bros. seafood(형제수산) and have Jinju Restaurant(진주식당) prepare it for you. (Cooking and table service fees are charged per person.)
