K-Pop Demon Hunters Filming Locations and How to Get There

As the Netflix animation “K-Pop Demon Hunters” garners global attention, reaching number one in 41 countries, the Seoul landmarks featured in the series are gaining attention as new tourist attractions. The meticulously recreated Seoul landmarks, including Bukchon Hanok Village, N Seoul Tower, Naksan Park, Myeongdong Street, and Jamsil Olympic Stadium, are sparking a pilgrimage among fans from Korea and abroad.

1. N Seoul Tower and Namsan Parkway

N Seoul Tower, impressively depicted in the animation, is a 236.7-meter-tall broadcasting tower located at 105 Namsan Parkway-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Construction began in 1969 and was completed in 1975. Standing 479.7 meters above sea level, this landmark offers 360-degree panoramic views of Seoul and is a major tourist attraction, attracting 8.4 million visitors annually.

Namsan Parkway, which leads to the tower, has been closed to private cars and taxis since 2005. Visitors can access the tower by taking Namsan Circular Bus No. 02 or 05 from Chungmuro Station or Dongguk University Station on Subway Line 3, or by taking the Namsan Cable Car. For K-pop Demon Hunters fans planning a pilgrimage, the most convenient option is to take Bus No. 02 from Exit 2 of Chungmuro Station and alight at the Seoul Tower stop.

2. Bukchon Hanok Village, 37 Gyedong-gil

Featuring the backdrop representing traditional Korean beauty in K-Pop Demon Hunters, Bukchon Hanok Village is a living hanok village located at 37 Gyedong-gil in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Nestled between Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace, this area was once a residential area for the royal family and aristocrats of the Joseon Dynasty. With over 1,400 traditional hanoks still preserved, it’s nicknamed a “street museum” within the city.

A popular pilgrimage destination for anime fans, the village is accessible by foot from Exit 2 of Anguk Station (Line 3). Open Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Visitors are asked to observe a quiet environment, and trespassing and loud noises are strictly prohibited. Strolling along the Bukchon Eight Scenic Views offers breathtaking views of Namsan Tower and the hanoks, making it the perfect place to experience the Korean atmosphere of K-Pop Demon Hunters firsthand.

3. Naksan Park Fortress Wall

Naksan Park, featured as the backdrop for emotional moments for key characters in the animation, is a hilltop park located at 41 Naksan-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul. It’s a historic landmark, boasting the preserved walls of the Joseon Dynasty’s Hanyangdoseong Fortress. From its 125-meter elevation, it offers panoramic views of Seoul. It’s become a must-visit for fans, as it was featured in the K-pop series Demon Hunters as Jinu and Rumi’s date spot and as the stage where Mira and Joy battle demons.

Access: 15-minute walk from Exit 2 of Hyehwa Station (Subway Line 4) or get off at Naksan Park Bus Stop.

Features: A free park where you can enjoy the night view and stroll along the Joseon Dynasty fortress walls.

Photo Zone: Recreate scenes from the anime from the observatory, which offers a panoramic view of the fortress walls and the Seoul skyline.

Especially after sunset, when the lights come on, the park creates an atmosphere reminiscent of the purple neon signs from the anime. It has become a popular spot for fans to recreate the “Golden” scene and take commemorative photos.
